Investments – Analyst/Associate
Laub Capital is looking for an Analyst (with experience) or an Associate as an addition to our Investments team to join a fast-growing investment fund.
Laub is a recently established pan-European distressed assets investment fund primarily specialized on the acquisition and management of non-performing loan portfolios (“NPL”) in the EU with primary focus on the Central Eastern European and Southern European markets.
The ideal candidate for this position will help Laub’s investment activities by providing support with the execution of the investment transaction processes, the monitoring of our existing investments as well as the identification of new investment opportunities. To assist with these efforts, you will take part in conducting market and investment analyses, compiling pricing models, business plans, forecasts and establish reporting templates.
Responsibilities
· Identify and analyse NPL investments across EU with a primary focus on the Central Eastern European and the Southern European region
· Conduct financial analysis, compile forecasts, business plans, financial and valuation models
· Provide support in the management of the multiple ongoing transactions right from the identification of the opportunity until the closing of the transaction · Monitor and analyse the performance of the acquired portfolios against the business plan
· Support and cooperate with our external partners (debt collection agencies, professional advisors such as legal, tax, financial etc.)
· Carry out market and macro analysis/research
· Assist in writing investment memos and reports
Experience and skillset
· Master's degree or equivalent experience
· 2-4 years of professional working experience (preferably within M&A, advisory/consultancy, debt collections/loan servicing, private equity/investments field or financial services sector, but not a prerequisite)
· Knowledge of both financial concepts and market standard business/asset valuation approaches
· Advanced skills in Excel (relevant programming or data analytics knowledge is a plus, eg VBA, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx etc., but not a prerequisite)
· Highly organized and structured, but adaptable to new situations/challenges
· Able to parallelly work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision · Strong attention to detail and having an analytical mindset
· Solid communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficient written and oral English communication skills (other European language is a plus)

Portfolio Management - Associate
Laub is looking for an Associate as an addition to our Portfolio/Asset management team to join a fast-growing investment fund.
Laub is a recently established pan-European distressed assets investment fund primarily specialized on the acquisition and management of non-performing loan portfolios (“NPL”) in the EU with primary focus on the Central Eastern European and Southern European markets.
The ideal candidate for this position will help the monitoring and management of Laub’s existing investments through working closely with our external debt collection partners to ensure fulfilment of business plan targets and strategies, and to maximize value. To assist with these efforts, you will conduct investment and financial analyses as well as co-ordinate with our debt external collection partners.
Responsibilities
· Analyse and monitor the performance of our investments against the business plan targets set
· Establish collection strategies and processes in co-operation with our external debt collection partners to maximize value
· Act as a first point of contact for the external collection partners that we work with
· Development and update of investment and financial reports regarding existing investments
· Maintain, structure and analyse the benchmark data of our existing investments supporting the assessment of prospective investment opportunities
· Contribute to carrying out market research to maintain a good understanding of our target markets
· Co-operate and liaise with the Investments and Finance&Operations team on ad hoc matters
Experience and skillset
· Master's degree or equivalent experience 2- 5 year professional working experience (preferably within credit risk, portfolio, asset or debt collection management)
· Advanced skills in Excel, other relevant data analytics/programming skills is a plus, but not a prerequisite (eg VBA, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx etc.)
· Knowledge of accounting/finance practices, and techniques Highly organized and structured, articulate, and analytical
· Able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
· Strong attention to detail and experience in using structured approaches to problem solving
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, being a team player
· Proficient written and oral English communication skills (other European language is a plus)
